Vision
Soilpro's vision
statement is the
first element of entrepreneur strategy. In a few words, "Customers
will recognize the advantage of Soilpro
as an approved geotechnical testing laboratory ", the aim is concisely expressed
to
customers, employees and stakeholders. The business itself is clearly
spelled out by the choice of an innovative company name. Soilpro's
logo also plays an important function in projecting the company to customers by
the incorporation of the name, the vision
and a red elliptical shape that is segmented at the top
right with a white triangle to signify the management team of three founding
executives. (Soilpro is formed from the words 'Soil properties').
Mission
The vision breaks down into the mission
which is the second element of Soilpro's strategy. The business direction of the
company can be road mapped by developing an appropriate framework
that is practical, achievable and realistic. This mission is really about the
question of what business is the company in?
The five basic questions and answers are: | In a statement of purpose or values
Client and services? : geotechnical
and testing laboratory
Client value or benefits? : highest quality services Competitiveness? : recognised quality Market? : national and international Commitment? : world-class standards |
To provide the highest laboratory quality services to customers who effectively rely on geotechnical test data for safe and practical design or assessment. |
For these long-term "values" to be consistent with the vision and mission, Soilpro has developed the Quality Objectives as the principles for strategic growth.

DMAIC Goals
Six Sigma is the organisational quality
system and The Six Sigma Way is a comprehensive guide to the application of Six
Sigma across all industries. Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control
- or DMAIC (pronounced "deh-MAY-ihk") is a five-phase improvement
cycle commonly used for both process improvement and process design/redesign
efforts. DMAIC is modelled after the original PDCA - Plan, Do, Check and
Act cycle introduced by W. Edwards Deming. (Details
